Campo Fire Benifit Fee ?

As a result of the Cedar Fire of 2003 there has been increased concern with fire protection in the rural areas of San Diego County. In a 2004 election voters approved Proposition C, an advisory measure that asked for support of a consolidated fire service system for the county. It also stipulated that fire protection services should be funded with reprioritized revenues – NOT NEW TAXES. Eighty one percent of the voters approved that measure. In February of 2005 the County Board of Supervisors initiated proceedings with the San Diego Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) to form a regional fire protection district over the entire unincorporated area –...
